À propos de Stefanie Powers
Stefanie Powers, an alumna of Hollywood High School, boasts a remarkable career with over 200 television appearances, including her famed role as Jennifer Hart in the popular ABC series Hart to Hart, which aired in the late 1970s. At just 15 years old, she signed with Columbia Pictures, quickly gaining recognition as one of the brightest emerging talents in Hollywood. After a brief period in films, Stefanie stepped away from the industry for nearly five years. Upon her return, she dedicated herself to television, amassing more than 100 guest appearances in a relatively short timeframe.
Beyond her iconic role in Hart to Hart, Stefanie has also starred in several other series, including The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. in 1966, The Feather and Father Gang in 1976, and Maggie in 1986. Her marriage to actor Gary Lockwood, known for his role in 2001: A Space Odyssey, began in 1966 but ended in divorce in 1972. That same year saw Stefanie develop a close friendship with actor William Holden, which eventually blossomed into a romance that endured until Holden's tragic death in 1981.
Stefanie is deeply committed to wildlife conservation, serving as President of the William Holden Wildlife Foundation, Director of the Mount Kenya Game Ranch, and as an international advocate for wildlife preservation. She is also a spokesperson for AVID Microchip Technology and collaborates with both the Cincinnati Zoo and Zoo Atlanta. Her stage credits include her performance in the off-Broadway play "Applause!" and she was appointed as the hostess of the new cable channel, Romance Classics.
As of November 1999, Stefanie remains passionately engaged with the William Holden Wildlife Foundation and various philanthropic efforts. She has supported numerous internet initiatives, such as Expedia's Mungo Park, A Doctor in Your House, and Interactive Travel. Additionally, she contributed to a PBS series aimed at empowering women with financial knowledge, titled "Funding Your Dreams." Her most recent film, Someone Is Watching, released in 2000, is available in limited television distribution both in Europe and the United States.
