Tatyana Lysenko — Biography

Born on October 9, 1983, in Bataysk, Tatyana Viktorovna Lysenko emerged as a formidable Russian talent in the hammer throw. Her athletic journey, however, has been significantly overshadowed by a history of doping violations. In a pivotal decision rendered in February 2019, the Court of Arbitration for Sport imposed an eight-year suspension on Lysenko for doping offenses. This ban commenced on July 2, 2016.
