Thekla Kaischauri — Biography
Thekla Kaischauri, widely recognized by her wrestling moniker Thekla, is an Austrian professional wrestler. As of May 2025, she is affiliated with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and is a member of the faction Triangle of Madness. She gained significant recognition during her tenure with World Wonder Ring Stardom, where she emerged as a prominent foreign talent in Japanese women's wrestling. Kaischauri is known for her compelling villainous character and has earned the nickname "Idol Killer" due to her confrontational in-ring demeanor, which starkly contrasts with the typical cheerful "idol" persona prevalent among female wrestlers in Japan. As a founding member of Stardom's antagonist group H.A.T.E., she was portrayed as an individual intent on purging idol culture from the joshi wrestling scene, a narrative that fueled many of her rivalries and storylines. Additionally, she is known as "The Toxic Spider," a moniker derived from her aggressive and agile wrestling style, which blends grappling, submissions, and fluid acrobatics, complemented by spider-themed ring attire and moves. Considered one of Stardom's top competitors and its breakout star, Kaischauri is lauded for her distinctive gimmick that challenges traditional joshi puroresu conventions, and for incorporating her diverse background in dance, gymnastics, music, and visual arts into her performances. Her championship accomplishments include the Goddess of Stardom Championship (with tag team partner Momo Watanabe), the Artist of Stardom Championship (with Giulia and Mai Sakurai), and the SWA World Championship. Prior to her time in Stardom starting in 2022, Kaischauri competed on the independent circuit in Austria and Japan, achieving notable success in Japan with Ice Ribbon, where she held the Triangle Ribbon Championship and garnered a reputation for her technical prowess and heel work.
