Valérie Kaprisky entered the world in the environs of Paris. Her lineage was a blend of cultures; her father hailed from Turkey and Argentina, while her mother's background was Polish. It was her mother's maiden name that she eventually adopted for herself. The spark for a cinematic journey ignited in 1975 when she saw Romy Schneider gracing the "Croisette," an experience that convinced Kaprisky to pursue a path in film.
