Velvet Rose demonstrated a remarkable talent for foreign languages, which earned her a scholarship to study in Germany during her junior year in 1996. After completing her year abroad, she returned to McKinney High for her senior year before heading back to Germany to pursue college. It was during her time in Germany that she was introduced to the adult film industry, encouraged by her German boyfriend. After filming her first scene, Velvet developed a passion for the work. By the age of 19, she started performing in adult videos and took to the stage as a stripper in both Germany and Austria. Over the next few years, she toured internationally as an exotic dancer, visiting countries such as Holland, Norway, Iceland, Japan, and Guam. After four years abroad, Velvet chose to return to the United States, settling in Southern California in April 2002 with aspirations of becoming a recognized porn star. She filmed her first U.S. scene just a week after her 22nd birthday and has since continued her successful career in the industry.
