Zayda Steel — Biography
Zayda Steel embarked on her professional wrestling journey in the independent circuit in August 2022, her debut taking place at Combat Zone Wrestling Limelight 8 where she faced Trish Adora in a losing effort. Throughout her initial year, Steel graced the rings of promotions such as MCW Pro Wrestling and various independent events across West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Her presence soon extended to prominent independent federations including Beyond Wrestling, DEFY Wrestling, Progress Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, and Booker T's Reality of Wrestling. A significant moment arrived on August 1, 2025, at Game Changer Wrestling's ID Showcase, where Steel secured a spot in the triple threat match final to determine the inaugural WWE Women's ID Champion. She competed against Kylie Rae and Zara Zakher, with Rae ultimately claiming the championship.
Steel made her mark in Major League Wrestling from 2023 to 2024, first appearing on the September 3, 2023, edition of MLW Fusion under the ring name "Zayda." Her initial bid for the MLW World Women's Featherweight Championship occurred at the MLW Once Upon A Time In New York event, where she was unsuccessful against Delmi Exo. A second opportunity arose on May 11, 2024, at MLW Fury Road 2024 in a four-way contest involving Janai Kai, Delmi Exo, and Miyu Yamashita for the Women's Featherweight Championship, but Janai Kai retained the title. During her tenure in MLW, Steel was a member of Mister Saint Laurent's "World Titan Federation" faction, alongside other notable wrestlers.
In 2024, Zayda Steel ventured into Dream Star Fighting Marigold, a new promotion announced by former World Wonder Ring Stardom executive producer Rossy Ogawa. She debuted at Marigold's inaugural event, Marigold Fields Forever, on May 20, teaming with Mai Sakurai in a losing effort against Myla Grace and Nagisa Nozaki. Her subsequent appearance at Marigold Summer Destiny on July 13 saw her partner with Myla Grace in another tag-team defeat to Nagisa Nozaki and CHIAKI. At the Marigold Summer Gold Shine 2024 event, Steel participated in an eight-woman tag team elimination match alongside Bozilla, CHIAKI, and Myla Grace against Kizuna Tanaka, Mirai, Utami Hayashishita, and Victoria Yuzuki, which concluded in a time-limit draw.
