Airi and Meiri — Biography

Airi and Meiri are a Japanese duo known for their work as gravure and AV idols. Their act drew inspiration from the "double singing idol" trend in Japan, a style featuring two performers with matching looks and synchronized performances. Airi's initial foray into AV was in July 2004 under the name Risako Nakahara, with the release Spoilt Younger Sister: Risako Nakahara & Rimi Tokino, produced by ONE. This solo work preceded their joint AV career as a duo on the KMP Million label. During 2005 and 2006, Airi and Meiri featured in multiple adult videos for KMP and Real Works studios. On April 26, 2006, they released a maxi-single titled Double Fantasia through Sexual Kiss Records, an independent label focused on AV actresses. In support of this release, they participated in a live event hosted by Sexual Kiss Records on October 30, 2005, in Shibuya. Additionally, in August 2006, Airi and Meiri were among several AV actresses who had recently released CDs to perform at an event called "AV SUPER STAR LIVE Beauty Bambie Night." This concert, held at Shibuya O-Crest, featured musical performances by Matsushima Cross, founder of Cross studio, and his band CAMPAKEX, as well as AV director Dragon Nishikawa's band CUMSHOTS.
