Alessia Macari — Biography
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Alessia Macari is an Italian presence known for her work in acting, glamour modeling, and television. While her birthplace is the Irish capital, her heritage traces back to Casalvieri, a town in the Frosinone province of Italy. From a young age, Macari displayed a deep affinity for music, composing and performing songs in both Italian and English. Her talent was evident early on, as she appeared on The Late Late Show and The Michael Barrymore Show as a singer and dancer at the tender age of six. By seven, she had entered the Hip-Hop All Ireland competition, securing the title of Best Dancer, a distinction she held for seven consecutive years.
Her modeling career began to flourish in 2010 when she was crowned Miss International Beauty Queen. The following year, she reached the finals of a competition in Fiuggi. In 2012, Macari achieved another significant win, taking home the Miss World Valcomino title, and that same year, she appeared on the Irish television program “Away With a Stranger.” Later in 2012, a guest spot on the game show "Next Another!", hosted by Paul Bonolis, proved pivotal. Producers were captivated by her striking looks and distinctive accent. This led to her joining the "Minimondo" segment of the show's fourth season, portraying the character "Two Women." Her memorable entrance involved speaking and singing a rendition of Tony Santagata's "How wonderful Mo primm’ammore." In 2016, Macari ventured into film, appearing in Rocco Galluzzi’s movie "The Goddess." The autumn of that same year saw her participate in the inaugural Italian edition of the reality competition "Big Brother VIP," hosted by Ilary Blasi on Channel 5. She progressed through the competition to become the first finalist and ultimately, the first winner.
