Amber Deluca — Biography
Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1967, Amber Anne Deluca has built a multifaceted career spanning athletics and adult entertainment. Her journey began with an athletic scholarship in volleyball at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. There, she was instrumental in guiding the team to their first national appearance, and she continues to hold the university's all-time record for kills. Deluca earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/English in 1990.
While at Gannon, Deluca also pursued her interest in strength training, preparing for arm wrestling under the tutelage of Dann Carr, the originator of American Gladiators. Her dedication paid off with victories in the Pennsylvania State Arm Wrestling Championship and several charity events.
Following her collegiate career, Deluca enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving a tour of duty overseas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of Operation Southern Watch during the first Gulf War. Her athletic prowess was recognized in 1992 when she was named Air Combat Command Athlete of the Year, and she led the Air Force to two World Military Championships in arm wrestling. In 1996, Dann Carr invited Deluca to join the live American Gladiators show in Orlando, Florida, where she briefly portrayed "Apache." Her tenure as a gladiator was cut short by an anterior cruciate ligament tear sustained during backstage practice, prompting her return to New Mexico for recovery and employment. From 1995 to 1998, she served as a Security Administrator for the Mescalero Apache Tribe. In 1998, Deluca was selected as a Human Resources Specialist for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, focusing on recruitment, placement, and labor relations. She resigned in 2006 to pursue a graduate degree in Educational Leadership at the University of New Mexico.
