Her academic journey led her to Delhi for engineering studies, but she eventually withdrew due to mental health issues. Undeterred, Archita returned to her education and earned a degree in Computer Science from the Delhi College of Technology and Management in 2023.

She managed to gain her freedom by paying ₹25 lakh (around $29,000 USD) and played a vital role in rescuing eight other women with the assistance of a non-governmental organization. In 2023, Archita achieved international recognition by securing a spot in the Top 5 of the Playboy Lingerie Model Hunt, marking a significant milestone for Indian representation within the competition. Her fashion choices are defined by a bold and unapologetic flair, and as a plus-size model, she has carved out a niche that confronts established beauty standards. By mid-2025, she went viral for a saree transformation video featuring the song Dame Un Grrr, amassing millions of views and solidifying her growing influence on Instagram.

However, her life took a tumultuous turn in July 2025 when she became embroiled in a notable deepfake scandal. Authorities arrested her ex-boyfriend, Pratim Bora, on allegations of creating and managing a fraudulent Instagram account called "Babydoll Archi," where he combined stolen images of Archita with AI-generated explicit content. Among the fabricated images was one featuring her alongside U.S. adult star Kendra Lust, which sparked unfounded rumors regarding her involvement in the adult industry. Investigators revealed that Bora profited from these images without her consent, allegedly as an act of revenge following their breakup. He is now facing various charges, including cyber fraud, identity theft, defamation, and violations of privacy.

In response to these challenges, Archita took control of her story, rebranding herself as "Amira Ishtara" and raising awareness about the risks of deepfake technology and the necessity for enhanced digital safety and victim protections. Claims suggesting she worked in Amsterdam's De Wallen district, produced an X-rated amateur film, or became an adult model are baseless and likely originated from the falsehoods propagated during the operation of the deceptive account.
