Barbara Hillary — Biography

Barbara Hillary, born on February 18, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, gained fame as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in April 1970, with her centerfold captured by photographer Pompeo Posar. She pursued her education in speech and English at Marquette University and held a position at the Playboy Club in New York City. Barbara was the third of five siblings and had experience as a Girl Scout leader in Alaska, where she had an encounter with a black bear. Demonstrating her determination, she once hitchhiked more than 300 miles to save money for her college education. Eventually, she became a registered nurse and dedicated several years to volunteer work in the Philippines, helping with cataract surgeries for those in need.
