Cheryl Rixon — Biography

Cheryl Rixon, born on October 12, 1954, in Perth, Western Australia, is a prominent Australian actress and glamour model. Her rise to fame began in 1977 when she was selected as Penthouse Pet of the Month, and she later earned the title of Pet of the Year in 1979. In the early 1970s, Rixon made a mark by being a finalist twice in the Annual Miss West Coast bikini beauty pageant held in Perth each January. Renowned for her stunning looks, she also became a game show assistant on local television.

Rixon's film career took off when she featured in the low-budget sex-comedy film Plugg, shot in Perth in 1975. Following this, she relocated to Melbourne, where she took on various television roles with Crawford Productions. Notably, she portrayed three distinct characters during the concluding episodes of Homicide, where her parts primarily emphasized her physical appeal, accentuated by revealing outfits rather than dialogue or character depth. Beginning in mid-1975, Rixon became a familiar face in Crawford Productions' sex-comedy soap opera The Box, playing television starlet Angela O'Malley and making several nude appearances in the series. Although she left The Box toward the end of 1975, she returned for a brief three-month engagement starting February 1976, during which she gained notoriety as a nude pin-up model.

She graced the pages of Penthouse as their December 1977 Pet and was celebrated as Penthouse's Pet of the Year in a televised event at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas in 1979. In July 1980, Rixon was the featured guest at New York Mayor Ed Koch’s "Festival of Fragrances." Her association with Penthouse continued with a ten-page spread in 1980 and a photoshoot for Oui Magazine in November 1982. During this time, she also appeared in films such as The Eyes of Laura Mars and Used Cars. However, after not receiving the promised prizes from Penthouse, she took the company to the New York State Supreme Court in 1985, ultimately winning her case, which was upheld on appeal.

Currently residing in the United States, Rixon has transitioned into jewelry design, operating under the brand name Royal Order. She is married to Art Davis, a club owner.
