Elena Tsagrinou — Biography

Elena Tsagrinou, born in Athens on November 16, 1994, is a multifaceted Greek artist recognized for her work as a singer, actress, and television host. Her musical journey commenced as the prominent vocalist for the Greek group OtherView, a role she held until embarking on her independent musical path in 2018. Tsagrinou is slated to represent Cyprus in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.

Her early life was steeped in music, marked by her attendance at a Music High School. In 2009, she made an appearance on the Greek iteration of the Got Talent series, Ellada Eheis Talento, broadcast by ANT1. Elena has a younger sister, Villy, born in 1998.

The summer of 2013 saw Tsagrinou audition for the lead singer position in OtherView, following Crystallia's departure. This led to her signing with Feelgood Records. The band's debut single, "What You Want," co-written and co-composed by the band members and Gabriella Ellis, was released on January 8, 2014. Their subsequent release, "O giros tou kosmou" (Around the World), garnered even greater popularity than their initial track. Vassilis Koumentakos penned the lyrics and composed the music, with Dimitris Isaris also contributing to the composition. Concurrently, Tsagrinou took on a coaching role for Ivan Svitailo on Mega Channel's music program, "Just The 2 Of Us," the Greek version of the popular talent show.
