Elizabeth Hulette — Biography

Elizabeth Ann Hulette, popularly recognized in the professional wrestling world as Miss Elizabeth, was an American figure who occasionally stepped into the ring as a wrestler while primarily serving as a wrestling manager and television announcer. She achieved widespread recognition from 1985 to 1992 during her time with the World Wrestling Federation (now known as WWE) and later from 1996 to 2000 in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), mainly for her role as the manager of wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage, among others. Of French heritage, Hulette was married to the iconic wrestler Randy Savage from 1984 until their divorce in 1992. She then entered into a relationship with wrestler Lawrence Pfohl, better known as Lex Luger, which lasted from 1999 until 2003. On May 1, 2003, in Marietta, Georgia, Luger dialed 9-1-1 to report that Hulette was unresponsive. Despite attempts at mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, she did not regain consciousness, and paramedics took her to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where she was declared dead at the age of 42. A medical examination determined her cause of death to be "acute toxicity" resulting from a combination of painkillers and vodka, categorizing her passing as accidental. Hulette was laid to rest at Frankfort Cemetery.
