Fawna MacLaren — Biography

Fawna MacLaren rose to prominence after being chosen as Playboy's 35th Anniversary Playmate, a designation achieved through an extensive national search. Her association with the publication, however, was confined to a relatively short span at the close of the 1980s, during which she earned thirty-five thousand dollars for her featured centerfold. The connection to Playboy later resurfaced when she participated in one of their "Wet & Wild" home video productions several years after her initial appearance.

Her modeling career commenced when she was discovered by "Elle" magazine while in Paris, France. This initial exposure led to a modeling career that spanned across Europe, with MacLaren gracing campaigns and runways in various countries including France, Italy, Germany, and Morocco. Beyond her work in fashion, MacLaren also ventured into acting, appearing in a select few films such as "Dragonfight," the television movie "The Cover Girl Murders," and "Lover's Leap."

Her esteemed recognition as Playboy's Playmate of the Month was acknowledged by several international editions of the magazine, including Playboy USA, Argentina, Hong Kong, and Turkey in January 1989. Additional international features included Playboy Netherlands in February 1989, Playboy Greece, Japan, Mexico, and Spain in March and May of the same year, and Playboy Italy in April 1989. Notably, she also appeared as Playboy Poland's Playmate of the Month in January 1993.
