Born on February 23, 2000, Femke Bol is a Dutch athlete whose prowess spans sprinting, middle-distance racing, and hurdling. Her career has seen her excel in the 400-meter hurdles, a discipline in which she claimed world championship titles in 2023 and 2025. She also achieved victory in the 400 meters at the 2024 World Indoor Championships, where she is also the current world record holder for the short track event. Beginning in 2026, Bol has shifted her specialization to the 800 meters.

In relay events, Bol has been a key member of the Dutch women's 4x400 meter team, securing a World Championship title in 2023 and a World Indoor Championship in 2024. Furthermore, she was part of the Dutch mixed 4x400 meter team that triumphed at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Bol's impressive record includes the world record in the 400-meter short track, a remarkable 49.17 seconds set on March 2, 2024. She also holds the European record for the 400-meter hurdles, clocking 50.95 seconds on July 14, 2024, positioning her as the second-fastest woman in history in that event. The European record for the mixed 4x400 meter relay is also hers, with a time of 3:07.43 from August 3, 2024. Additionally, she boasts six Dutch records across individual races and relays.
