Hadise — Biography

Hadise Açıkgöz, born on October 22, 1985, is a gifted Turkish-Belgian artist known for her singing, songwriting, dancing, and television presence. Her upbringing was in Belgium, though her family's heritage traces back to Lezgin-Kumyk roots originating from Sivas, Turkey. Her initial foray into the spotlight was in 2003, participating in the Belgian talent show Idool 2003. However, it was the release of her first album, Sweat, in 2005 that truly propelled her to prominence. This debut produced five singles and garnered her accolades including a TMF Award in Belgium and a Golden Butterfly Award in Turkey. Hadise solidified her successful dual career in both Belgium and Turkey with her 2008 self-titled album. This release, featuring a blend of English and Turkish tracks, included the popular song "Deli Oğlan," which climbed to the top of the charts in Turkey.
