Hikaru Tono — Biography

Hikaru Tono, affectionately known as "Tonopii" by her admirers, has rapidly established herself as a prominent Japanese voice actress. Her affiliation with the agency HiBiKi has seen her ascend to the forefront of contemporary anime and multimedia, drawing acclaim for her vibrant persona and adaptable vocal abilities. Her journey into voice acting began with a deep-seated passion for anime cultivated since childhood. After a dedicated seven-year period of rigorous training and persistent auditions, she successfully navigated the HiBiKi newcomer auditions in 2017. Though her professional debut followed soon after, it was her portrayal of Howan in Show by Rock!! Mashumairesh!! that truly launched her into the spotlight. In this role, she also displayed her musical prowess as a member of the series' primary idol group. Hikaru's signature characterizations often feature a delightful fusion of sweetness and endearing eccentricity. This is evident in her portrayal of Anna Yanami in the 2024 production Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!, a performance that significantly boosted her public recognition.
