Ida Ljungqvist — Biography
Ida Ljungqvist hails from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where she made her mark as a model, gracing the covers of 9 magazines and participating in 9 photosets before her retirement in 2011. Before turning 18, the Playboy Playmate had lived in more countries than most individuals will ever have the chance to visit. Born in Tanzania, her upbringing was influenced by her father's work with UNICEF, which took her to various countries including Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, France, and Denmark. Possessing fluency in three languages, Ida holds a degree in fashion design and marketing, and she has aspirations to further her education in economics among other fields. With a Swedish father and a Tanzanian mother, she holds the distinction of being the first Playmate born on the African continent. Ida is also committed to philanthropic endeavors, a passion she attributes to her father. "I’m a really positive person," she states. "My dad, he’s, like, saving the world, so good luck to whoever decides to marry me! He’ll have some big shoes to fill." Notably, she was recognized as Playboy Argentina's Playmate of the Month in August 2010.
