Brandy Ledford, known professionally as Jisel, hails from Denver, Colorado, before relocating to Redondo Beach, California. Over her modeling career, she appeared on 14 magazine covers and posed for 14 photosets. In 1992, she earned the distinction of Penthouse magazine's Pet of the Year. Her heritage includes a mother with Canadian and New Zealand ancestry and a father of partial Cherokee descent from North Carolina. Following her graduation from Redondo Union High School, Brandy pursued modeling, establishing herself as both a model and dancer with work spanning New York, Canada, and international locations. She performed adult films under the stage name Jisel. Between 1993 and 1996, she trained at the Baron Brown Studio in Los Angeles under instructor DW Brown, later continuing her craft studies with Margie Haber at her Los Angeles studio. Her acting breakthrough came with a notable appearance in the 1993 Sylvester Stallone film Demolition Man. She subsequently guest-starred on Married with Children in 1997 before landing the lead role of Alex Davies in Aaron Spelling's ABC series Pier 66 that same year. Her television resume expanded to include recurring roles on multiple series and guest appearances on shows including Modern Family and Rat Race, as well as the HBO program Zebra Lounge. She developed a devoted science fiction fanbase through her portrayal of Doyle on Andromeda, a character she considers her favorite. Her 2006 work on the acclaimed series Whistler garnered both Leo and Gemini Award nominations. Since achieving sobriety in 2012, she has been forthright about her recovery journey and involvement in community service, sitting on boards including the Red Songbird Foundation and participating in charitable endeavors. Today she divides her time between Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Kauai, balancing her roles as mother and wife while maintaining focus on fitness and wellness.
