Katarina Spasojevic — Biography

Katarina Spasojevic, the eldest of three siblings, feels a strong responsibility to set a positive example for her younger brother and sister. Her upbringing in Minnetonka, Minnesota, a region famous for its abundant lakes, instilled in her a deep appreciation for the natural world and water activities. Opting to remain near her family, Katarina embarked on her higher education journey as a first-generation college student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she focused on business law and marketing. During her time at the U of M, her academic achievements were acknowledged with placement on Alpha Epsilon Phi’s honor roll, the university’s dean’s list, and the reception of the President’s Emerging Scholarship.

Professionally, Katarina works as a commercial model, appearing in advertisements for Target and gracing bridal runways, with her work also featured in two Parisian publications. She has cultivated a passion for inspiring young women to embrace their individuality, advocating for self-care and self-love. Katarina Spasojevic earned the title of Miss Minnesota USA 2021 on August 1, 2021, at the Ames Center in Burnsville, succeeding and being crowned by the previous year's titleholder, Taylor Fondie.
