Kaya Rose Scodelario-Davis is a British actress widely recognized for her performances in the series Skins, which aired between 2007 and 2010, and for her role in The Maze Runner film franchise, released between 2014 and 2018. Born on March 13, 1992 in Hayward Heath, West Sussex, England, Kaya is currently 30 years old. Her mother, Katia Scodelario, is Brazilian and moved to England in 1990; the surname Scodelario has Italian origins, inherited from her maternal grandfather. Kaya's father, Roger Humphrey, who passed away on November 22, 2010, was British. After her parents' separation when she was young, her mother raised her in London, providing Kaya with the opportunity to learn about her heritage and the Portuguese language.

Kaya began acting at the age of 14, without any prior experience. During her audition, she felt insecure, believing she was too young, but she was encouraged by a producer to continue and read the part. Although her role in the first season of Skins was small, her character gained prominence in 2008 and became a central figure in the 2009 and 2010 seasons, when the original cast was replaced by a new generation. In 2019, she portrayed Carol Ann Boone, Ted Bundy's wife. Additionally, she starred in the horror thriller Crawl, directed by Alexandre Aja, which was filmed in Belgrade and received positive reviews following its release in July 2019. By December 2023, Kaya had 3.1 million followers on Instagram.

She and Benjamin Walker began a relationship during the filming of the movie The King's Daughter in early 2014, got engaged in December of that year, and married in December 2015. However, in February 2024, the couple announced their separation.
