Kourtney Mary Kardashian, born on April 18, 1979, in Los Angeles, California, is an American socialite, fashion entrepreneur, model, businesswoman, and television personality. She possesses a rich heritage, with Armenian roots from her father and additional Native American, French, English, Italian, Dutch, German, and Scottish ancestries inherited from her mother. Kourtney is the firstborn daughter of Robert Kardashian, a former attorney who gained fame as O.J. Simpson's lawyer, and Kris Jenner (née Houghton). She has two younger sisters, Kim and Khloe, and a younger brother, Rob, making her the eldest of four siblings.
Kourtney is married to Travis Barker, who is best known as the drummer for the acclaimed pop-punk band blink-182. Her father passed away on September 30, 2003, and her mother divorced Robert Kardashian in 1989, later marrying former Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991. Kourtney is widely recognized for her role in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which first aired in 2007. Alongside her sisters Kim and Khloe, she co-founded DASH, a clothing boutique located in Los Angeles.
Kourtney completed her education at the all-girls Catholic institution, Marymount High School. She then moved to Dallas for two years, where she attended Southern Methodist University before transferring to the University of Arizona, where she graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish. Among her college peers were Nicole Richie, Heather Blair, and Luke Walton. Kourtney's family also includes half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, with step-siblings Burt, Brandon, Brody Jenner, and stepsister Casey.
Throughout her life, Kourtney has experienced several high-profile relationships. From 2001 to 2004, she dated Taryll Jackson, who is the nephew of the pop icon Michael Jackson and part of the music group 3T. In 2005, she also had an eight-month relationship with Joe Francis, known for producing Girls Gone Wild, yet they maintained a friendly rapport even after parting ways. In 2007, Kourtney began dating Scott Disick; they briefly got engaged in 2008, but their relationship faced many ups and downs. Kourtney became pregnant, resulting in the birth of their son, Mason Dash Disick, on December 14, 2009. Their daughter, Penelope Scotland Disick, followed on July 8, 2012, and another son, Reign Aston Disick, was born on December 14, 2014. Ultimately, Kourtney and Scott called it quits in July 2015. She later entered a relationship with boxer Younes Bendjima in March 2017, which ended in July 2018.
