Sobre Melody Prochet
Melody's Echo Chamber serves as the creative moniker for French artist Melody Prochet, whose output spans multiple dimensions of psychedelic music, ranging from Krautrock and Shoegaze to Progressive rock compositions. Prochet's inaugural studio effort emerged from a partnership with Kevin Parker, her romantic partner at the time who leads Tame Impala. The project garnered considerable critical attention and charted at number 61 on the U.S. Billboard Heatseekers rankings. After her relationship with Parker ended and following serious health struggles, Prochet joined forces with Swedish psychedelic rock outfit Dungen to create Bon Voyage, her sophomore full-length work. The album received favorable reviews from critics who noted its heightened experimental character compared to the debut while maintaining comparable artistic depth and allure. The record drew influence from 1960s psychedelia aesthetics alongside Progressive elements. Prochet's subsequent album, Emotional Eternal, presented a notably lighter and more energetic direction, marking a shift away from the darker atmosphere of Bon Voyage, which had been completed during an especially challenging period in Prochet's personal and physical life.
