Born on June 12, 1981, Nora Marie Tschirner is a German talent known for her work in film, music, and her past endeavors as a television and radio host. Her initial foray into television was in 1997 with a role in the ZDF children's program, Achterbahn. By 2001, she joined MTV as a VJ, a role she held until 2007. Concurrently, she co-hosted the radio show "Blue Moon" on Radio Fritz with Stephan Michme. In 2004, she collaborated with Christian Ulmen on his MTV show, Ulmens Auftrag. She also lent her hosting skills to the First Steps Awards in 2007 and appeared as the central figure in the music video for OneRepublic's "Secrets."

Her acting career saw her as Anya in Conny Walter's 2001 film, Never Mind the Wall. Following that, she took on the lead role of Paula Behringer in the ARD series Sternenfänger in 2002. The year 2003 brought her to the screen alongside Matthias Schweighöfer, portraying Katharina in Soloalbum, a cinematic adaptation of Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre's novel. In 2005, she starred as Titzi in Anno Saul's Kebab Connection and took on smaller parts in television series such as Ein starkes Team and Abschnitt 40. She also starred with Christian Ulmen in the film FC Venus. In 2006, she featured in the ZDF science fiction series Ijon Tichy: Raumpilot, based on Stanisław Lem's The Star Diaries, a production that garnered a German Television Prize and a Grimme-Preis nomination.

The romantic comedy Keinohrhasen, released in 2007, saw her in a leading role opposite Til Schweiger, a performance that earned her a Bambi award in the national film category in 2008. In 2012, she provided the German voice for Merida in Disney Pixar's Brave. Since 2013, Tschirner and Christian Ulmen have been a recurring presence as an investigator couple in the Weimar installments of the Tatort crime series. She also voiced Lara Croft, the main character, in the German rendition of the 2013 Tomb Raider video game reboot. Nora Tschirner is a mother to one child, born in 2013, and resides in Berlin. The father of her child is not publicly identified.
