Patricia T. Arquette was born on April 8, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and is an Academy Award-winning actress. She first gained recognition in 1987 with her leading roles, playing a pregnant teenager named Stacy in the TV film Daddy, a boarding school student Zero in Pretty Smart, and the notable character Kristen Parker in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. In 1991, she earned a CableACE Award for her role as a deaf epileptic in Wildflower. By 1993, she had a prominent role in Tony Scott's film True Romance, marking the beginning of her appearances in many critically praised films, including Ed Wood as the wife of a notoriously bad film director, Beyond Rangoon, Ethan Frome, Lost Highway, Little Nicky, Stigmata, Bringing Out the Dead, Human Nature, Holes, and Flirting with Disaster.

In January 2005, Arquette made her television debut with NBC's Medium, where she played a fictionalized version of psychic medium Allison DuBois. This role earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2005 and garnered multiple nominations for both Golden Globe and SAG Awards across several years. Despite being cancelled by NBC in 2009, Medium was picked up by CBS, extending its run for two additional seasons. By 2011, her salary had risen to $225,000 per episode, and she portrayed Allison DuBois until the series concluded on January 21, 2011.
