Rossana Podesta — Biography

Carla Dora was born in Tripoli in 1934. Her parents, originally from Portovenere, had relocated there, and her father held the position of mayor of the city. At the tender age of sixteen, her potential was recognized by director Léonide Moguy while he was casting for the film Tomorrow is Another Day, released in 1951. This encounter marked the commencement of a prolific acting career, leading to approximately sixty film roles both within Italy and internationally. Later, in Mexico, she appeared in Emilio Fernández's 1954 film La Red, a role that also garnered her significant recognition across Latin America. Possessing a striking physique, she became a sought-after pin-up and graced magazine covers throughout the 1960s.
