Shyla Stylez — Biography
Born on September 23, 1982, in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada, Shyla Stylez was a Canadian adult entertainment performer and model of German descent who achieved recognition in the industry through her work as a stripper and on-camera talent. She moved to Los Angeles at age 18 in 2000 to pursue her career, appearing in productions from Anabolic Productions and Jim Kelly Productions before joining Jill Kelly Productions after marrying the company's CEO, Bob Friedland.
Throughout her career, Stylez underwent two breast augmentation procedures, first in 2002 to reach a 32D cup size, and again in early 2006 when she increased to 36DD following her temporary departure from the industry after divorcing Friedland in 2005. She resumed her adult entertainment work in 2006 and remained active in the field through various DVD releases and online platforms.
Beyond her primary career, Stylez became involved in a notable incident in 2003 when she had several sexual encounters with George Jaramillo, an assistant sheriff in Orange County, California. She expanded her professional portfolio by hosting Un-Wired TV, an independent Los Angeles television program, in 2007. Recognition from the industry followed as Maxim magazine listed her among the top twelve female performers in 2010, and she received induction into the Urban X Awards Hall of Fame in 2011 and the AVN Hall of Fame in 2016.
Stylez passed away on November 9, 2017, in her hometown of Armstrong, British Columbia. She was discovered unresponsive in her bed by her mother and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at age 35. The specific cause of her death remains undetermined.
